This is the second year I’ve gotten to pack lunch for my little guy. He loves going to school and for me it brings back memories of my oldest son when he was this age. It reminds me to enjoy every moment because time flies during these years. I love packing lunch school lunch and trying to get creative to keep my son interested but there are also some favorites that will always be a part of our lunch routine! Packing school lunch doesn’t have to be difficult!
I’ve ALWAYS loved including Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers when packing school lunch. In the past I would freeze the tube to keep it cold until lunchtime. My kids have always been YoKids fans so this is a lunchtime staple in our house (and for school!). It’s a lowfat yogurt option that comes in delicious flavors like Strawberry, Blueberry, Lemonade and Birthday Cake!
More lunchbox favorites that my kids love are Justin’s naturally delicious products! The pretzels with Chocolate Hazelnut Butter or Honey Almond Butter are favorites and I can feel good about giving them to my kids when packing school lunch! They come in quick and easy snack packs that make packing lunch a breeze! They also have containers of their butters available in addition to their individual packages. We love their butters for dips and for sandwiches! There are countless ways these can be used and enjoyed!
This year, in working with Stonyfield, we were sent this amazing PACKiT Freezable Upright Lunch Box. This bag is ahhhh-mazingly genius! The whole bag freezes and stays cool up to 10 hours! Perfect for packing school lunch and not having to worry about how you are going to keep items cold! We no longer have to freeze our YoKids either, we just freeze the bag and it’s all set! We’ve become HUGE fans of PACKiT!
Bento items are yet another thing I use to try and keep the kids interested in their lunches. I use the small animal forks to put in lunchmeat and cheese rolls. I also use cookie cutters to shape their sandwiches or cheese snacks into fun shapes.
