Sesame Street Live’s “Make a New Friend” is at the Fox Theater Now – Feb 16!

Disclosure: I received a four pack of tickets to attend the Sesame Street Live show in exchange for promoting the event. All opinions are 100% my own and are not influenced in any way

Sesame Street is a lifelong favorite of mine. It’s not only educational, but it’s fun and they teach real life lessons. This year, Sesame Street Live celebrates 25 years at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and I was delighted to have my family be a part of it! We attended the show last night and this year’s “Make a New Friend” was incredible!

Sesame Street Live Detroit

I wasn’t sure how the kids would do, if they’d get bored after so long or if they would throw a fit when it was time to leave. At just 2 and 4 they can be unpredictable sometimes. Also, I wasn’t sure how Annie would do at just 11 months old. All of my worries turned to smiles when everyone did great! LA and Addy LOVED seeing their favorite characters on stage! They got so excited when Elmo and Abby Cadabby appeared! It was so cute watching their faces. As parents, my husband and I loved the message that this year’s show shared: No matter where you’re from or where you’ve been, everyone is special. Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby, and their Sesame Street friends welcome Chamki, Grover’s friend from India, to Sesame Street. Together, they explore the universal fun of friendship and celebrate cultural similarities, from singing and dancing, to sharing cookies!

Sesame Street Dancing

The kids absolutely loved the music and dancing that Sesame Street Live brought to the stage. It was fun not only for the kids, but the parents, too!

The educational aspect of Sesame Street was brought about in a fun way, of course. The characters really know how to make learning fun!

Sesame Street Live is definitely something the kids will love! It’s full of upbeat music, fun and character interaction! The kids LOVED it when the characters came into the audience and they got to touch their hands!

Make sure you get your tickets for the show! They are in Detroit at the Fox Theatre for several more weeks: through February 16!
