Wordless Wednesday – Halloween

Well, I didn’t get around to posting a Wordless Wednesday last week so you get to see the Halloween picture this week! 🙂

We knew the weather was going to be bad. It was rainy and windy so we did not take them our door to door. Not to mention I had to work and didn’t get home til 6pm. BUT, we knew they had a party planned at daycare so we wanted to get them some costumes to wear and enjoy. I heard of a $5 costume sale at Old Navy the week before Halloween and I went and luckily found these two costumes in their sizes so we ended up with a parrot and a princess! <3 They loved them, although hubby was really wishing we had gotten LA a super hero costume!

Oh and I couldn’t get a picture of them both looking at me smiling. lol This was a good as it got! haha!

They look great! Don’t you just love taking 50 pictures and in not one are both children looking..Oh well, they look cute anyway.

  6. Tom Lester says:

You paid HOW MUCH for those costumes? Holy crumbs, those kids are way too adorable!

  7. They both look great and you got a fantastic deal! And, even though they weren’t looking at the camera, it’s still a good picture — more candid and natural rather than posed.

We got my daughter’s costume at the thrift store for about $3 She went as a fire captain. We lucked out that the costume was just her size and, after digging a little, we found a hat/helmet for $.69.

We took her trick-or-treating for the first time 2 years ago and she went as a princess. Our neighbor was nice enough to give us her daughter’s out-grown costume and a couple brand new ones. It was a carnival atmosphere and we all had a great time. We were in transition last year so we didn’t do the Halloween thing. This year, we were planning to go door-to-door but instead attended a few community events — some were better than others but we still had a nice time.
