Menu Challenge Monday – October 21

This was another so-so week. Sometimes I really feel I am doing better at eating in and other times I wonder why I even try. I *think* I am doing better and I think that my lack of weight gain this pregnancy could have to do with the difference in eating-in more often and I’m possibly losing weight in other areas and gaining in the baby area. IDK. I just don’t know this week.

Last week…

Monday: Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Mac n Cheese, Corn (Success)

Tuesday: Chili (This did not happen. I was exhausted this night and had zero energy to cook. We ate out.) #Fail

Wednesday: Left over Chili (Chili happened, but wasn’t leftover since I didn’t cook Tuesday. Success.)

Thursday: Pancakes/Sausage (#Fail – it was Disney on Ice night and I didn’t have enough time to cook. Grabbed something quick on the go.)

Friday: broccoli cheddar soup and bacon, tomato, cheese sandwiches (This happened and yum-o it was! The sandwiches weren’t the best, but the soup was delish!!! Success.)

Saturday: left overs from Friday (This didn’t happen. We had a late lunch (in) and ended up going out to celebrate LA’s potty success! haha!)

Sunday: Lasagna (Success!)

 Four success, 3 fail. Ugh.

Here’s the plan for this week:

Monday: Lasagna (left over from Sunday)

Tuesday: Kielbasa, Sauerkraut and Mashed Potatoes

Wednesday: Chicken and biscuits with mashed potatoes.

Thursday: Will probably be our eat out day.

Friday: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

Saturday: Breakfast for Dinner!

Sunday: Taco Casserole

This week scares me a bit…not really many meals with leftovers meaning I’ll be cooking more. I hope my energy levels allow for that!

Do you have any special meals you are planning this week? Do you do a weekly meal plan? Is it easy for you to stick to it?

I think you did great! Anytime there’s more successes than failures is a good week and something to build on.

    • Aww, thanks Jennifer! I’m having a pretty bad week this week when it comes to cooking. I think the failures are on top right now. 🙁 Uh oh. lol

  2. Rebecca Parsons says:

I don’t necessarily plan a meal but when I do go grocery shopping I will pick a meat or main dish and build off of it during the week. Because I say oh yeah I am making pork chops, a noodle side dish, vegetable and possibly dinner rolls but it never turns out that way. So i make the main dish look in my cabinets and say I feel like making ….. to me it works so much better this way because I don’t feel pressured to make certain things. I am weird like that I guess.
