Menu Challenge Monday – October 14

I feel so-so about this past week. We had some good days at sticking to the plan and some not so good days. I absolutely love eating out and that is my downfall…especially when I am so tired with this pregnancy and sometimes may have the energy to cook, but not to clean up. When I think of the time and the energy involved in doing both I am discouraged. I intend to cook as much as possible for my family but some days that just doesn’t happen. There were a few days that I DID NOT WANT TO COOK or clean up but I did. And I’m proud of myself now! 😉

Last week…

Monday: Spaghetti with Garlic Bread (Success)

Tuesday: Left Overs from Monday (Success)

Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner (french toast, sausage) (Success!)

Thursday: Pineapple Chicken (We ate out. I got home late and was super tired to we ate out. Fail.)

Friday: EAT OUT!!!! WOOHOO!! Although I am trying to eat in more, I do love eating out so I am going to plan this once in a while!  Since we ate out Thursday I cooked Pineapple Chicken this night. So I’m going to say success since we didn’t eat out both nights and this was a home cooked meal! 🙂

Saturday: BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Mac n Cheese and Corn (hoping on the cob if I can still get some) #Fail. We ate out because we took the kids to a farm and were about an hour away from home.

Sunday: Left overs from Saturday! We didn’t have left overs but we did eat in with our Tombstone pizzas at our Halloween party!

We ate out more than I planned but I also still cooked half of the week! It was a so-so week! 😉

It is always a good idea to plan out meals. I do this for the week and stay on track and make meals that my family will like. I had delicious barbecue chicken pizza tonight and it was the best I ever ate. We like to go out once a week because it is a fun thing to do with the family. Your menu looked yummy!

  3. I love chili. This weekend I’m making a Tortilla Soup for dinner one night and Veggie Chicken sandwiches the other. I’m excited to try this recipe for a Curry Pizza/Flatbread. http://thespunkyveggie.wordpress.com/2012/06/14/fusion-pizza-sweet-potato-crust-with-kale-and-vegetable-curry/
