Our Easy Solution for Halloween Themed Family Time? Tombstone and Nestle!

CB-sponsored-post-green-script-600
We decided to have a small Halloween party this past weekend just to get some practice at preparing Halloween items and to just have some fun with the kids! Ok, and we wanted to get some Halloween ideas going for later this month! We want to make Halloween fun for the kids since they are still toddlers, not scary so check out some of the fun things we did for Halloween!

The night before we prepared our Halloween cupcakes. We wanted to do something a bit different and I had planned on making ghosts, pumpkins, etc on the cupcakes out of Nerds candies, but the kids wanted to help and it became more of a bonding experience than a time to perfect my cupcake designs!

Nestle Nerds Cupcake ShopThat night when the kids went to bed, hubby and I worked together on some Halloween ideas and made some decor and Halloween treats for our guests! While at Walmart earlier we picked up some fun-sized candy bars from Nestle!

Nestle Crunchy Spider Decor #ShopThese turned out pretty cute: our Crunchy Spider Decor using Nestle Crunch candy bars! They were fairly quick to make and we just needed tape, doilies, felt with sticky back that we cut into eyes and pipe cleaners.

MummyFinger Butterfinger #ShopOur MummyFinger Butterfingers were also quick and easy! There really are so many things you can use from around the house: gauze, tissue paper, streamers or even toilet paper like we used! We decorated some with just a Sharpie marker for that Mummy look but then we glammed up some, too with glitter faces! 😉

The Halloween Party Food

Tombstone Halloween Pizza #ShopBecause this mama is pregnant and tired often, we wanted something fast for dinner so we were excited to get the Tombstone Halloween themed pizzas to serve our guests! To make them a bit extra festive, we used cookie cutters and cut the pizza into pumpkins and ghosts! Wow, that was fun!

Halloween Cut Out Pizza #ShopI used some fairly large cookie cutters that I found at Walmart. The ending result:

Finally, I decided to put together some dips for the pizza…quick and easy dips of course! This Halloween party had to be easy and fun!

For the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza I made a Monster Mash Mayard Dip! (Mayard is my new word for mayo-mustard! LOL) Here’s how you can make it:

Monster Mash Mayard Dip

1 cup Mayo
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup Miracle Whip

First, I combined the Mayo and mustard and mixed well. I then added in the remaining ingredients and stirred everything together! Yum! Our Monster Mash Mayard Dip was a hit!

Monster Pizza Dip #ShopThe second dip I made literally took minutes! I told you, quick and easy was part of this Halloween theme! 😉 The second dip I made was perfect for most types of pizza!

Ghostly Garlic Ranch Dip

3/4 cup Sour Cream
3/4 packet Ranch Dressing
1 clove of Garlic, minced

Combine all three ingredients together and stir well. I also recommend letting this dip sit in the fridge overnight for best flavor!

We ended up just having my in-laws and a friend’s family come to our party. It was small but the kids had an awesome time and loved “Halloween”! Our family and friends loved our Halloween ideas and even mentioned they’d be using them for their parties later in the month! I was happy to have quick and easy preparations for our gathering and the time spend with family was priceless! Thanks, Nestle and Tombstone for loads of fun!

What are your simple and quick Halloween ideas?
