I have been a huge Disney on Ice fan since my now senior in high school was little. I took him to every show that came to the Detroit area and we both loved it! This year I was excited to see the 100 Years of Magic show when it came to Detroit. 100 years!? Wow, Disney sure has been around for a long time and they continue to get better and better! I was concerned with how the little ones would do since they had never made it through an entire show before when we had gone to other events. I told my husband that I hoped they could make it because I really want to stay for the whole show!! Yes, I was being selfish! haha! To our surprise THEY MADE IT!!! There were times of fussiness and there were times of impatience, but overall they did great! They were intrigued by the characters and the ones they recognized really got them excited!
The 100 Years of Magic show includes some amazing characters! It started with Minnie, Mickey and Donald coming out to greet everyone. Other characters who made appearances were: Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio and many of the Disney Princesses. There were also moments from The Lion King; Mulan; and Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Toy Story!! That’s a lot of excitement in one show, isn’t it!?
Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic
I loved watching the princesses! Both of my littles are all about princesses right now, especially The Little Mermaid and they were really excited to see her! They loved the music and the moments of dancing and clapping along! It was so fun seeing the excitement in their faces.
Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic was all in all fabulous! The show lasted just about 2 hours, and that did include a 15 minute intermission. My one and three year olds made it through the show and truly enjoyed it! Be sure you get your tickets! Disney on Ice has left the Detroit area, but if you are in any other part of the country, check out their list of upcoming performances! This show is fabulous and you don’t want to miss it!!!!
When was the last time you saw a show this great? Make sure you get your tickets and go when it comes to your hometown!
Disclosure: Disney on Ice provided tickets for my family to attend the event in exchange for my posting preshow information and this review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are 100% my own. I really, really do love Disney. 😉
