Traveling is something we love to to. Weekend family getaways are often on our schedule, however, it’s not always been easy since having little ones. We have to make sure we know where they will sleep because we’ll be needing a crib for baby’s safety. When I heard about the Travel Crib Light 2 from BABYBJÖRN I was intrigued and knew it was something we would use often!
When I had my youngest son nearly three years ago, had you said “BABYBJÖRN” to me I would have thought “baby carrier”. That was all I associated them with, and in fact more than 30 million children have been carried by their mothers and fathers in BABYBJÖRN baby carriers. Outside of baby carriers, BABYBJÖRN has expanded their products to offer bouncers, high chairs, booster seats, potty chairs, cradles and the amazing Travel Crib Light 2, among other things. The Travel Crib Light 2 is incredibly easy to pack up and take along on any road trip, it’s simple to set up and most importantly, it’s safe for your child.
We received the blue BABYBJÖRN travel crib for review and I was excited to see that there was very little assembly to get it into working order. In fact, it comes in it’s travel package and all you have to do is take it out and set it up. Set up takes literally less than 5 minutes! It’s the perfect size for traveling and so easy to just toss into the back of our van as we are on our way out of town! The travel crib is incredibly lightweight (at only 11 pounds) and can be carried in one hand while also carrying baby or other luggage.
I love that the sides are mesh and Addy can see out of the crib so if she wakes up she can easily see mama and daddy and know that even though she’s in a strange place, she’s with us.
The mattress is also “cushiony” and appears to be rather comfy! BABYBJÖRN also kindly sent us the organic crib sheet to go with the travel crib. We always use organic sheets so I was thrilled that they had an organic version available! The sheet is SO soft and we love it! It has an elastic band that keeps the sheet stretched and in place. Thumbs up to BABYBJÖRN because the fabric is guaranteed free from hazardous substances!
