Who doesn’t like convenience and saving money? With Walgreens‘ new Balance Rewards loyalty card you can do just that! My husband went to Walgreens just this past weekend and told me they now have a loyalty card and he wanted me to go sign up for it (he could have signed up in store, but he’s a guy and they don’t take time to do those things! LOL) We often visit Walgreens so he knew the Walgreens savings would be beneficial to us.
Just to get more info about the Walgreens Rewards card he was talking about, I looked on the Walgreens website. I found that the #BalanceRewards card allows you to save on sale items, it gives you 500 points for filling a prescription, and gives you the chance to earn points on thousands of items each week!
I so often do things on my phone these days. The convenience of smartphones is really out of this world. I was beyond pleased to see that Walgreens has an app and guess what?! They even allowed me to sign up for their balance rewards card RIGHT THERE ON THE APP! Amazing!
I simply installed the app on my phone and went to it. There was an option on the home screen for rewards.
Once there I had the option to join or even scan my card if I were already a member! I selected join since I wasn’t yet a member and I was just asked to enter some basic information: my name, email and password. After that, I immediately got a “Congratulations” for successfully joining! Yes, it was that simple and took just a few minutes!
After joining, I immediately went shopping for a few personal items we were in need of. I was pleased to see that orders over $25 have free shipping so I could order from the convenience of my phone and have it arrive right on my doorstep! You can also pick up your order in store if you prefer. You can even view the weekly sale ad on the app and make a shopping list! Talk about having everything available in the palm of your hand! How great is that? I love it!
I knew we needed some baby safe Q-Tips, some bubble bath and baby wash so I searched to see what natural brands Walgreens had. I was pleased to see the Yes to Baby Carrots brand as I have been wanting to try this! I ordered their bubble bath but they were out of the shampoo/baby bath. I did see some Pedialyte that I needed too so I added that to my cart as well!
Once I had all of the items I needed in my “cart” I checked out. My order came to $27.14 so I got free shipping – woohoo!!!
And, while I was busy shopping the guys were busy too! You see, I was able to shop easy and convenient from my phone while daddy was busy getting the little guy’s hair combed so we could go out and about!
