This past weekend we had a little family get away! We had so much fun and this was one of the stops we made on our way home, thanks to Danielle at Happenings of the Harper Household! I won this pass from a giveaway she hosted on her blog and it was SO Fun!! It was a drive through safari where we could feed the animals! The animals came right up to our car for food!

Love this thing! I thought it was a Llama, but according to their site, it’s actually a Alpaca.
My darling husband freaked out a bit when he saw this thing coming towards our van! He didn’t want the van to get scratched!! LOL
He made me chuckle when he freaked about the huge animal. It was funny, and when the horns caught the antenna (you can see it in the picture above), I think he had a slight heart attack. 
LA was not afraid at all! That surprised me a bit but he was excited about feeding the animals. Daddy kept reaching back to help though…I think he was a bit worried!
And finally…the thing I was most excited about! The giraffes!!! I wanted to feed the giraffes soooo bad!!!
And the giraffe that was near enough to eat from the car was ON MY SIDE!!!! He (or she?) actually wrapped his/her tongue around the carrot and pulled it in! That tongue was STRONG!!! Not only that, but the sound was a LOUD crunch when the carrot was being eaten! Whoa! I wanted to stay and keep feeding the giraffes, but we ran out of food and there were cars behind us.

Ok, that is stinkin’ cool! That longhorn would’ve freaked me out too and I can just imagine what he was thinking as it was coming towards you! lol Congrats on the win!
Those are so sweet! i have been to one in Georgia before… It can be intimidating how big those animals are!
I am SO glad you guys had a great time! We absolutely loved the safari too though my girls weren’t as brave as your lil man. And the giraffes were my favorite too!! We had the sun roof open on our car and the giraffe stuck his head right down in – so fun!

That looks so fun! There is a drive-through safari kind of thing about 3 hours south of us…one day we are going to do a road trip down there!
