Welcome to the beginning of the review portion of the Funky Fluff Fall Festival! Each day for the next ten days one wonderful cloth diapering mama will be posting her thoughts and experience with Funky Fluff’s diaper! First of all, what a fun name!! Funky Fluff is a small Canadian home based business that was founded by two moms from Toronto. They are cloth diapering lovers who wanted to design a diaper that anyone could feel confident in using and they wanted to make them affordable. After many late nights in their journey they now have their diaper, Funky Fluff!
The Funky Fluff diaper has some very unique features, and the biggest is that it’s a THREE in ONE diaper! By that I mean it can be used as three types of diapers: a pocket diaper, an all-in-one or an all-in-two! The pocket is generous in size and works great with my not so small hands! It’s a one size diaper that will fit babies approximately 7 pounds to 35 pounds and it has two rows of snaps for the closure and includes hip snaps, too! We absolutely love hip snaps because without them we almost always end up with “wings”. The outside of the diaper is a breathable, waterproof polyurethane laminated polyester (PUL) that keeps wetness contained. The inside of the diaper is bamboo and oh so soft!!
The snaps also cross over to fit those skinny babies! I love this feature because at 8 months and 18 pounds we still use the snap over feature to get a great fit on Addy!
The bum fits great! I love the adorable Funky Fluff logo on the back of the diaper!
The sides/legs on this diaper fit amazingly well! There are no openings for leaks and we the diaper did not leave marks on Addy’s legs when I took it off! That’s a huge plus!
As an all-in-one diaper you simply snap the soaker into the front and back and when laundering you don’t even have to remove the soaker! As an all-in-two you can use the soaker either lay the soaker on top of the diaper or you can tuck it into the front flap and snap into the back. As a pocket diaper, you simply put the soaking into the pocket, snapped or not. I love that it can be used in so many ways! I’ve only used it as an all-in-one and a pocket diaper but have been very happy with the results of both types!
You can see in the left picture above there are two pocket openings, one in the front and one in the back. This is fantastic for allowing the inserts to agitate out in the wash. There is an inner gusset to help keep in those messes babies are so good at making! 
The snaps can also be used to roll up a soiled diaper and store easily while out and about. Isn’t that so neat?
The diaper comes with two inserts. We chose the bamboo diaper for review. The smaller soaker consists of two layers of bamboo terry and works great as a booster for overnight. The second insert is also bamboo terry, consists of four layers and is very absorbent. The insert on the left is the Funky Fluff booster that has three layers of luxurious and absorbent bamboo/cotton fleece fabric. These boosters are available for purchase separately from the diaper.
Final Thoughts: We received the Funky Fluff 3-in-1 diaper in pink with grey snaps for review. I absolutely love the color of this diaper! I am very happy with the color selection Funky Fluff has available, however, I do with they would release some prints! The absorbency of this diaper is fabulous and we had no leaks in this diaper at any time: nap time, play time, or overnight!! WOOHOO!!! The 3-in-1 is impressive and I love the bamboo and it’s softness. The double gussets and the cross over snaps are also must-have features! We love Funky Fluff and can’t wait to get more colors!

i love the pocket in front and back! definitely helps avoiding getting poop on your hands(unless of course in teh case of a double side explosion) but really handy!
I like how it agitates out in the wash. I’m confused about the rise snaps though. why no center row? Does that effect fit?

My favorite feature is the different colored snaps. I love how just changing the snaps make a whole new diaper. Love that the inserts agitate out as well.
I like that this diaper can be used three different ways! Makes it perfect for a daytime diaper and night time, so you can fit extra inserts if needed. And the colors are cute.
I have trouble with leg opening leaks and red marks on legs…this product sounds good!

My favorite feature is that the crossover snaps can be used to contain the diaper. This is great when traveling and you only have a small wet bag.
I like the snap in soaker, and I’m a huge fan of double gussets. Especially with an exclusively breastfed baby, they’re a must!

I love the Funky Fluff diapers, in fact, I have received my son’s first one! I also have the one with the bamboo inner. This diaper includes all of my favorite features in one…double gussets, bamboo, all-in-2 style, one-size, and snug fit!

I am almost 7 months pregnant with my very first baby and am going to be cloth diapering. I’m so excited for using cloth diapering, I just hope that it will go smoothly for me.
