I still didn’t make it a whole week with my plans! I’ll get there, and soon!
Last week here’s what was planned and what happened:
Monday – Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Mushrooms SUCCESS!
Tuesday – left overs (hopefully) SUCCESS!
Wednesday – General’s Chicken with rice and egg rolls SUCCESS!
Thursday – Chili #FAIL
Friday – left overs #FAIL
Saturday – dinner out SUCCESS!! This one was easy peasy!
Sunday – I didn’t have Sunday on the plan for some reason but we ate frozen pizza – and since we ate in, I’ll say this was a SUCCESS!
Here are the plans for this week:
Monday – Sweet Chili Chicken and Rice
Tuesday – Chili
Wednesday – Chicken w/bot tie pasta
Thursday – Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Friday – Lasagna
Saturday – Something crock pot…maybe beef and noodles
Sunday – Pizza (either homemade or frozen, not sure yet!)
That’s right readers!! I am going for a whole week of no eating out!! I think this is the first time in the six week’s I’ve been making these plans that I don’t plan on eating out at least once!! I even bought stuff at the grocery store to take to work for my lunches so I don’t eat out then! Wish me luck! I am pumped and ready to make it this week!!
Be sure to stop back next Monday and see if I made it!

You did great last week. THe Sweet Chili Chicken and Rice this week sounds good
I have 4 kiddos, the youngest two are 4 month old twins! So yeah, I understand not being able to cook. Love this! I’m a meal planner as well and really try to stick to my plan even if that means just making bean burritos or frozen pizza
I even sometimes cook dinner during afternoon nap so I can just nuk it at dinner time.
I just looked through your 7 weeks of meal planning and noticed you’ve been cooking the same meals almost every week. I think we need to help you find some new, quick, recipes so cooking dinner will be something to look forward too! I know for me, if dinner sounds delicious, I don’t mind cooking it.
My go to 10-20 min meals include chicken enchiladas, jambalya with the help of a zatarain’s boxed rice, bean burritos with lots of fixings, tacos, and 15 minute spaghetti (google it!!! So good and easy!! Recipe from Stacy makes cents blog).
