Seventh Generation has become a favorite brand in our home. We’ve used many of their products including diapers and natural dish soaps and many others around the house. Seventh Generation and Real Simple teamed up to deliver the Cleanhouse Challenge. This challenge is a Facebook App that invites users to explore a virtual house and discover coupons and prizes, while providing tips on how to keep a green, healthy home. With every completed challenge, The Seventh Generation Foundation will donate $10 to +350.org, an organization concerned with combating the climate crisis. Recently I had the opportunity to try some of their newer cleaning products and was just as happy with them as I’ve been with all of their products!
Seventh Generation has three new specialty cleaners (Wood, Granite/Stone, and Stainless Steel) that are all USDA Certified Biobased Products made from non-toxic, biodegradable formulas.
When cleaning granite and stainless steel I am most often in the kitchen and it’s important that my kitchen cleaners are SAFE and non-toxic. It’s also important to clean without a harmful smell because I have a toddler and an infant not far away when I am cleaning. All three surface cleaners are made with a unique blend of plant-based ingredients and organic coconut oil to deliver strong performance without containing harsh fumes. All of these cleaners worked great and I’ll be getting more as soon as we run out! The 18 oz. bottles are available online for $4.99 each.
The Hand Care Dish Liquid is a USDA Certified Biobased Product with fragrances from essential oils and botanical extracts, however, they also have an unscented version available. The formula is non-toxic, biodegradable and contains Advanced HerbaVera™ Moisturizing Technology, so it’s gentle on both your hands and the earth. This dish liquid works great and doesn’t dry my hands out! I have very sensitive skin and winter time is harsh so I am happy to have this around! It is available online in 18 oz. bottles for $3.49 each.
The Natural Laundry Detergent Packs are a USDA Certified Biobased Product containing no dyes, synthetic fragrances, nor optical brighteners. We received the Mandarin & Sandalwood scent for review and was very pleased with the results. They are VERY easy to use: simply toss one into the washing machine, add clothes and start the machine! There is no measuring so it makes laundry a bit quicker! They are effective in hot or cold water and are available for purchase online in two sizes: 30 Count – $9.99 and 50 Count – $14.99. The container is the only thing to toss, however, if you have little ones these are the perfect sized containers for storing small Legos or other toys!
