My husband and I have huge places in our hearts for helping children. Any time I get the chance to participate in a Champion for Kids campaign to make a small difference I get really excited! Our most recent Champions for Kids activity involves Dial Soaps and holding a drive for necessities to donate to children in need.

To get the drive started, I went on a shopping trip to get some things that I felt were necessities for children. Some of the smallest things that so many of us take for granted others simply can’t afford. I was thrilled that Dial Soaps was part of this because even something that small can make a difference to someone in need. Yes, a bar of soap can do more than clean a body. It can raise the confidence of someone going on a job interview knowing they smell clean. It can prevent a child from getting made fun of at school because he or she doesn’t smell as fresh as others would like him/her to. It makes a difference and donating these simple products can do so much more than you can imagine, it’s a rather simple service project that you can do, too!

Shopping Partners

One evening when my darling husband was out bowling I took the kids to Walmart on our trip to start our donation drive. We picked up a few items that were on our shopping list and while we were there we had fun checking out all of the Halloween decorations. You can see our full shopping trip by viewing our Google+ album!

Dial Soap

I wanted to get some Dial soaps as well as some other products that could help young children be more confident. All too often I’ve heard my husband, who is an elementary school teacher, tell me stories of children getting made fun of because they have an odor. I knew the packets we could put together will make a huge difference in the lives of some children.

Dial Travel Size

They even had Dial travel sized soaps!

Dial Travel

On our shopping trip I picked up the Dial soaps, tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorants and vitamins. A few days ago I put a challenge out to my neighbors, friends and family to bring over more items to donate. I can’t wait to see what they come up with! We will be donating all of the items we gather to an organization that help victims of child abuse and neglect. The organization is called the CARE House. Dial into Giving and with the #DialCFK and put together your own drive and gather items for children in need! Help Dial on this mission for others to have cleaner lives with basic necessities! We are getting into the holiday season, why not get your giving spirit going early?!

Be sure to follow Champions for Kids on Facebook and Twitter as well as Dial on Facebook and Twitter!
