I cannot believe you are half of a year old already. You were six months on the 13th so I am a bit late in writing this! 
You brighten every day and I am so thankful that we’ve been blessed with you. I don’t even know where to begin.
Let’s see… In the past few weeks you’ve done so much! You are a serious pro at the “army” crawl. You can follow your big brother in no time! You’ve started saying “dada” in the last few days. We were just wondering when you would be saying it, and you started! We started giving you baby oatmeal a few weeks ago (you are 6 months, 12 days right now). You seemed to take it better than your big brother did starting out. You sure love grabbing the spoon though, and what a grip you have! Wow! Sometimes I just let you have it because if not, I would really have to fight you to get it back! Lol
You also started sitting by yourself a few weeks ago. You aren’t getting into the sitting position by yourself but will sit when we sit you up. For about a week we would sit you up and you would stay like that forever. We finally realized you couldn’t get down which is why you stayed there. After several days, yo figured it out and no longer stay sitting down.
Just yesterday you started pulling yourself up to a standing position. Yes, I was shocked too! I could not believe my baby was pulling herself up like that! I first saw you do it on the video monitor when you were in your crib. You pulled up to a complete standing position. We decided we better lower your mattress before you started doing it more! Today, you were playing with LA’s riding train and pulled yourself to standing beside it. You definitely aren’t slowing down. 
We are still going strong on nursing! I am so happy about that! Six months and counting! Today, we gave you your first food besides the infant oatmeal. It was pears. You made a few strange faces and after about 1/4 of the jar (small jar – 1st stage) you were done. I think we’ll wait a bit longer to see if you get any more interested in a week or so.
You are quite the serious baby. I thought LA was serious, but around 4 months he stopped with the seriousness and started smiling all of the time. You? It takes a lot to get you to smile. You are very inquisitive and persistent. If you want something – you will find a way to get to it. You move ALL OF THE TIME. You are the hardest baby to get a diaper on! Lol You twist and turn and want to get back to playing and crawling so you do not stay around for the diaper change. You aren’t much of a cuddle baby either. That makes me sad sometimes. Many nights I have to feed you and put you in the crib, as you want to fall asleep by yourself. It’s rare that you fall asleep in my arms. Or anyone else’s arms. You still wake up twice each night to nurse. I don’t mind most nights because with me working, I miss you and it gives me time with you, even if it’s in the dark.
You are the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen. I love you dearly and I thank you for putting smiles on my face daily. <3
