Yes, I said treat. It’s not often that I get new things for myself. I get joy out of getting things for my kiddos so I focus on that. Many times when I need something, for example a hair dryer, I will take the cheap route and go to a local store and buy something to get my by. That has proven to be more frustrating than anything else in the long run as those hair dryers often gave me problems.
A good hair dryer is something I have longed for. I mean, I really have dreamed of getting one but I never splurged. I was thrilled at the chance to review a Barbar hair dryer and to make it even better, it was ECO FRIENDLY!!! I couldn’t wait until it arrived so I could check it out!
How is it eco friendly, you ask? The Barbar Eco 8000 blow dryer is the only hair dryer on the market that is equipped with an eco-friendly ceramic heating element. This modern ceramic heating element minimizes the harmful effects of radiation and won’t damage your hair as much as a coil heating element. Standard hair dryers will have coil heating elements which use 40% more electricity than the Eco 8000! Saving electricity is important, but the Eco 8000 gets better because it’s ceramic heating element will last five times longer than the standard hair dryer’s heating coil! That means fewer hair dryers in the landfill! Thumbs up on that, Barbar!! The Eco 8000 uses 90% electricity, turning it into heat. It wastes no energy whereas the coil heating element does waste electricity by not utilizing the energy efficiently and turning it into radiation. The Eco 8000 also uses an AC motor instead of a DC motor, which creates more power! This blow dryer protects your hair and the environment – it can’t get any better! 
Barbar’s Eco 8000 has two heat and two speed settings as well as a cool shot release. I use it to straighten my hair often because I have a natural waviness (ok, it’s frizzy actually) that I hate! It works so incredibly well. I love the 10 foot professional cord as it allows for plenty of moving around if needed! The handle is easy to grasp and work the buttons all with one hand while the other hand controls your brush. Yes, it’s so easy! The heat is 310 F (yes, that hot!) and works very well to straighten my hair! Had I known how incredible this blow dryer is I would have splurged long ago! The performance of this product is well worth it’s weight in gold! I don’t know how I lived without this hair dryer for so many years!
My Final Thoughts: I don’t think I need to say this, but I LOVE THIS HAIR DRYER. I truly enjoyed learning about the differences of heating elements and the eco friendly ways of my new Eco 8000 from Barbar! It works SO well and I couldn’t be happier that it’s eco friendly AND gentler on my hair than other hair dryers!
