Baby Food Jars – What will we do with them?

So I talked yesterday about jars versus pouches on the 1st stage baby foods that Earth’s Best offers. Because they offer most of their foods in jars, we’ll be using quite a few over the next months. We love to find various uses for the jars and I wanted to get some ideas from you on what you use them for, too!

Earth's Best JarOne of the first things I use them for is homemade baby food. There are some things I make at home in our Baby Cook machine because they are not available from Earth’s Best. Two of the top things I make in baby food: avacado and mango. These two items are wonderful for the little ones and when I make them, I usually fill a couple of jars to use over the next day.

The second thing I use jars for? Storage. Yes, storage…I use them to store buttons and safety pins. I use them to store Box Tops for Education in our kitchen. I use them for hair bands and any other small items around the house. I also use them for taking small amounts of CJs Butter from our large container in the diaper bag. the possibilities are endless!

The next thing I use them for is crafts! Now, we don’t craft as much as I would like to, but it is so fun! The other day I was looking on Pinterest for baby food jar ideas and it was so neat the things people come up with! We’ll definitely be using some of those ideas! A friend of mine also suggested making a game by gluing the jars to boards and using ping pong balls to create a game of tossing the balls into the jars, similar to those you see at festivals/fairs. We will be doing that soon and posting a “how to” post all about it! My husband also uses them in his classroom for art projects! If you don’t use them, find a teacher and donate them! Teachers love stuff like this!

Lastly, if you can’t find a way to re-use your jars, please recycle them. :)

What about you? What do you do with your baby food jars? Any fun projects?

FTC Disclosure: I am an Earth’s Best ambassador and receive products from them, however, all opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.

Ever since I saw on Pinterest the idea to make little Lego heads out of them, I’ve just been waiting for next year! I’m planning a lego themed birthday party with babyfood jar lego heads to store candy legos as a party favor! I’m excited to use them all, and for how adorable they’re gonna be!

  2. hey! my box tops for education are in an old baby food jar, too.
