Do you remember my recent post about our game night and playing NCAA Football ’12 one last time in celebration of NCAA Football ’13 coming out? NCAA ’13 was released July 10 and we recently had a family game night so the guys could play again! This game is out of this world and they love it!
What are some of the differences from just one year you ask? Some people don’t understand the need to get a new game every year, but here in football country we know there is a need because the people at EA Sports work hard to make their NCAA football video games greater and greater with each year! Here are some of the main differences:
Key Points for NCAA13 – What’s new and exciting
Heisman Challenge—Win it for your school as you play as one of 10 former Heisman Trophy winners under center, in the backfield, or split wide, see if you can utilize his legendary skills for your favorite college team in a quest to match his award-winning historical performances and win the Heisman Trophy once again. Choose from the following former Heisman greats:
· Robert Griffin III
· Doug Flutie
· Herschel Walker
· Marcus Allen
· Charlie Ward
· Barry Sanders
· Desmond Howard
· Eddie George
· Carson Palmer
· Andre Ware
My family was thrilled to see Barry Sanders and Eddie George as options because in this house, those two players are legends!
An All-New Passing Game—A revolutionary passing system brings added authenticity to the Quarterback position from ball trajectory to play action pass to the option. Enhanced receiver control puts you in position to make a play on the ball and new read and react defensive coverage delivers greater realism on the gridiron.
Reaction Time—Great players see and feel the game differently. With Reaction Time, the game slows down during key moments, increasing your on-field awareness and opening up more opportunities as you sense things before they happen.
Dynamic Dynasty—Recruiting goes deeper than ever with the addition of dynamic recruiting pitches. For the first time ever, your recruiting grades can change each week based on your performance in Dynasty mode. In addition, Gameday Saturdays come to life with live studio updates and enhanced commentary by Rece Davis.

With the amount of signs we saw for NCAA Football 13, I think our Walmart was just as excited as we were about the game!
We first went to Walmart to pick up our copy of NCAA Football ’13. My husband couldn’t have been happier to get his hands on this game! Check out our full shopping trip by viewing my NCAA 13 Google+ album! He was like a kid again when we picked up this game! It was pure excitement and he couldn’t wait to get together with my cousin and some other family members for a NCAA 13 party!
Once thing we did before the party was check out the NCAA Football 13 You’re Covered App to create a personalized game cover! This app was really simple to use, but finding just the right picture proved challenging for me! I tried a few to get it as perfect as I could but I love all of the options that the app has to create it just how I want!
I will be creating a few more of these in the coming days! Our oldest son has been out of town with family. We didn’t expect he would be gone this long, but when he gets back he will be thrilled to see a new game with his own picture on it! For the purpose of this event I created a cover with my husband’s picture because I knew he would be just as excited! He LOVED it when I was done! It was a great addition to his birthday gifts!
After the shopping and playing around with the You’re Covered app, we went to our gathering at my cousin’s house again for the rematch, but this time with NCAA13!
I hope you see how much fun they had because it’s hard to put all of that fun into words! They love the changes to this year’s game, they love the fun and the challenge! Be sure to follow EA NCAA Football on Twitter and Facebook for up to date game info!
