When I first started cloth diapering, GroVia® diapers were some of the first I used. I have always been a fan so I was thrilled when I found out I would get to work with them on this review! GroVia® has all-in-one diapers (both one-size and newborn size), a hybrid diaper and even trainers! They also have a wide array of accessories for cloth diapering! Every parent wants to give their baby the best and GroVia’s purpose is “to give parents the tools they need to provide their children with premium, accessible, modern, green, easy-to-use diapering and natural baby products”. They also “help our children live health conscious and earth friendly lives and simplify the way parents nurture baby, naturally”.

We were sent a nice little selection of GroVia® items for review. We received a Mod Flower print hook/loop shell (my FAVORITE print of theirs), biosoakers, biowipes and the stay dry soaker pads. I was thrilled to try the full hybrid system, stay dry soakers AND biosoakers especially since we often travel to visit family a few hours away!

First, let me talk about the BioWipes. These disposable wipes are made from renewable material and they are free of harsh synthetic chemicals and parabens. If you don’t use cloth wipes, this is a disposable wipe you can feel good about using! These wipes are compostable and all natural! I was impressed with these wipes and how strong they are considering how thin they are. They don’t easily rip and they handled messes really well from both my 3 1/2 month old baby girl AND my 22 month old toddler! They are very moist and keep their moisture til the whole pack is gone! We really like these wipes!

The next item item is the hybrid diaper with the cloth snap-in soaker pads and the BioSoakers. I love that the hybrid diaper is available in snaps or the hook/loop closure and has so many options. The concept of this diaper is perfect as you have the ability to use it with disposable inserts or reusable soaker pads that are available in both organic cotton and a hemp blend cotton. That is an amazing amount of options all on one type of diaper, isn’t it?

As I said, we were sent the GORGEOUS Mod Flower print to review on baby Addy. She is almost four months old and weighs 13.9 pounds. This is a one-size cover and is on the smallest rise for Addy. The hook/loop closure allows for cross over tabs to get the perfect fit around the waist as you can see below.

Is this not the cutest fluffy bum you’ve ever seen? I love, love, love how this diaper fits her! This is the diaper with the hemp cotton blend soaker pad inside. I really thought that this would be bulky because of the size of the soaker pad and her being so small but it wasn’t at all. It is in fact very trim!
I loved this fit on her so much that I recently placed an order on Amazon with a gift card I had to get her two more shells and I ordered some organic soaker pads to go with them. I seriously LOVE this diaper and if you haven’t tried it, you must! :)
The shell is reusable and you can easily snap in and out the soaker pad. You can see the snap above…there is one on the back and one on the front. Incredibly easy to use, this soaker pad can be changed when wet and the same shell can be used until soiled. I personally prefer changing both the shell and the soaker pad though just to use another cute print! :) The shells are available in both solid colors and prints so everyone can find something that they love!
As I said, we received a hook/loop closure by request. I love hoop/loop closures and GroVia® has the absolute strongest hook/loop closure I’ve found on a diaper. It is still easy to remove but it holds the close wonderfully!
Another feature of this diaper that I love are the unique laundry tabs. Most hook/loop closures have a small section that you attach the hook/loop too in order to keep it from attaching into a diaper chain in the laundry. GroVia® has the ability to fold over AND it has a “cover” to keep it like folded closed during laundry and it really does work. We’ve not had it come open one time and we’ve washed this diaper numerous times!!
I couldn’t get the best picture of this, but this is the BioSoaker®. It has gussets that REALLY do hold in messes well. In fact, it holds the mess so well that our cover was never soiled so we could continue to use it until we decided to change it! The BioSoaker® is foldable so you can customize the fit for smaller babies. We used these primarily when traveling or out and about. The Biosoakers are fragrance, dye, plastic and chlorine free! They are made of biodegradable and compostable materials! Not only can these be used in the hybrid covers, but they have a sticky tab to adhere to cotton underwear so you can use them as trainers! How brilliant is that? Two thumbs up, GroVia®!
My Final Thoughts: If you couldn’t tell, I seriously LOVE this hybrid system. There are so many options with this system that I question why not everyone has some of these in their stash. They are more than convenient they are a way of cloth diapering in our home and out! :)

If you have an older baby toddler be sure to stop by and read Eco Baby Mama Drama‘s review of the GroVia® trainer! Even if you don’t have an older one yet – read up for when your baby grows!!: ) You can also enter to win a $20 GroVia® gift card!!

  25. Grovia’s are all I use!

  26. I just got my first Grovia shell last week (but didn’t order inserts because I thought the snaps would be universal and they aren’t) but we use the Oeko Popo diapers and they are EVERYTHING diapers.
