Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and GIVEAWAY

Since our “green” days began a few years back, a lot of changes have taken place in our home. One of those changes is recycling. We recycle many things in our kitchen (such as juice containers, pop and water bottles, cardboard boxes, plastic and glass containers) and we have had the problem of these things cluttering our counter top until they can later be taken into the basement to our recycle bin. We were recently given the opportunity to review the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler and I knew this was the answer to our clutter problem.

The Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler is incredibly easy to install by attaching the over the door hooks to the inside of a cabinet door. It is intended for collecting recyclables to keep them out of site and to keep your counters clear and that is exactly what it does! It really was just what we needed. Once the bag is full you simply lift the bag from the lid and cabinet using the attached handle to take the recyclables to your bin. Here are some great facts about this bag:
  • The bag is very durable
  • It is leak proof but machine washable for any unexpected spills
  • It is made of recycled material! Way to go, Rubbermaid!!
  • It is a 5 gallon bag and can hold 36 uncrushed cans, yet it is large enough to also fit one gallon milk jugs.
  • It is soft sided to be flexible inside of a cabinet.

This is a picture of the mess that would have been created on our counter top waiting to be taken to the recycle bin in the basement. As busy parents of two little ones, sometimes the clutter would sit there for a few days. Yes, I hate to admit that, but it’s true. The Hidden Recycler has cleared all of this up and allows for us to put the recyclables here:
And look at the difference o our counter top! It looks so much better, doesn’t it?
The clutter is hidden away and we can wait a few days before taking the recyclables to the basement without any unexpected guests seeing our mess! This is also a great product to use in apartments or smaller kitchens with limited storage! We have come to love our Hidden Recycler! It requires no tools to install and is incredibly easy! The only thing was that I did have to re-arrange the cabinet under the sink to make room for this. Giving up that tiny bit of space though is well worth it to have clear cabinet space! Thanks Rubbermaid for another great product!
