Annie’s Organic Pizza Review and Giveaway

Pizza is one of my absolute favorite things to eat. When I started being more conscious of ingredients and eating more organic I slowed down a lot on eating pizza. None of the ingredients in most store bought frozen pizzas or in pizzerias is organic. I personally prefer not to think about everything that could be on the pizzas like that.

I had seen many organic items at my local Whole Foods, but I honesty never thought to check out frozen pizzas there. When I was recently given the opportunity to try Annie’s Organic Pizza I was really excited. Finally, my favorite food in a version I could trust to give to my family! For more than 20 years, Annie’s has been nourishing families with simple, down-to-earth foods that taste great and are easy to love! They’ve sought out the best ingredients Mother Earth has to offer, harvest pure, natural flavors and they make delicious foods every family can feel good about.

When we went to While Foods to get our groceries and our Annie’s Pizza I was so disappointed to see they were sold out! I found the section where the pizzas were supposed to be but the shelves in that freezer were empty. I thought, “how could that be?” Then I started thinking about how good of a thing this was. It meant that the pizzas were favorites and they must be great tasting! Not only that, but it meant that people are caring about their bodies and eating organic pizza! Yes, I stood there while my husband was waiting on me just thinking about all of this as I stared at the empty shelf. Something then told me to open the freezer door and search! I looked on a different shelf that had a different brand. I moved other pizzas while searching for my Annie’s Organic Pizza and I found one lonely Annie’s Pizza out of place and hidden just for me! 🙂 It was the Spinach and Mushroom Pizza but I was more than ok with that! My husband wasn’t as thrilled, but I love spinach and mushrooms!

Annie’s Organic Pizza comes in four flavors: Spinach and Mushroom, Uncured Pepperoni, Four Cheese, and Supreme. I cannot wait to go back to my Whole Foods when they have more stock because I really want to try all of the other flavors! All Annie’s Pizzas are certified organic and use only 100% real cheese that is made with milk from cows and not treated with the growth hormone rBST. Their naturally rising crust has 8 grams of whole grains per serving and the pizzas feature meats with no nitrates or nitrites except those naturally occurring in sea salt or celery juice powder. Each 11.5 inch pizza is a great family size and is ready to eat in just 25 minutes or less!

This is was our pizza just out of the oven! It looks incredibly yummy, doesn’t it? We had this pizza and a salad for dinner one evening. It made for a quick dinner, which is very welcome in this house! My husband and I ate this for dinner and we had left overs so it is a great size for around three adults. I couldn’t wait to get this pizza in my mouth and when I did, it was love at first bite! The Spinach & Mushroom pizza has organic spinach, portobello and button mushrooms and diced tomatoes. The sauce is a to-die-for garlic parmesan cream sauce. Together, these ingredients an incredible taste and a satisfaction for those pizza cravings! The pizza tastes rather fresh for being a frozen pizza and it is not greasy at all compared to some store-bought frozen pizzas. I couldn’t ask for a thing more: quick and easy to make and taste was incredible!

Annie’s has a wide range of products and now that I’ve tried the pizza I am really looking forward to trying more of their products! My toddler loves mac n cheese (what toddler doesn’t, right?) so I will definitely be looking for that the next time we visit Whole Foods! Be sure to visit Annie’s on Facebook for up-to-date company info and promotions! Thank you so much to Moms Meet and Annie’s Organic Pizza for this opportunity! You’ve made me into a huge fan! 🙂
