Glow Bug Cloth Diapers was started by two moms who were both looking for new cloth diapers. They wanted I had heard a lot about Glow Bug but never tried them until recently. All they wanted were good quality and affordable diapers. In their search they became frustrated that what they were looking for did not seem to exist and decided to make their own diapers, which became Glow Bug Cloth Diapers.
Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are available in packages of twelve. They also have a trial package of six. They are one size, pocket diapers with snap closures. They come with two microfiber inserts and have leg gussets sewn into the pocket to hold the poo in! We received an adorable star print that is very gender neutral. That was perfect for us so that we could test it on both our little boy and our baby girl.
We first tried this diaper on our little boy. As you know, he is 20-months old and is about 26 pounds, 34 inches tall. We did not have leaks with this diaper and used it for day time play time and nap time as well as overnight. When we used it overnight I did add extra inserts but it worked great.
Laundering this diaper was very easy. We simply washed it once we received it with all of our other diapers. There was no prepping other than the one wash. It does dry pretty quick as well since it’s a pocket diaper.
Don’t you love the print?! It’s adorable and I love the colors! This is the front view of the diaper on our little boy. We use it on the biggest rise setting and around the waist we still have plenty of snaps to open it up when he gains weight so it will fit for a while.
This is the side view with one insert in the pocket. It actually looks a bit more fluffy than it really is. It must have been the way he was angled but it really is pretty trim! The legs fit great and no openings for any leaks! I was thrilled with the way this diaper fit our little boy!
Next we tried this diaper on our baby girl. She was 4 1/2 weeks old when we first put it on her.
The above picture is the front view of Baby Addy with the Glow Bug diaper on. I did have a bit of a difficult time getting it around her waist. She didn’t quite need the snaps crossed over, but without them crossed over it was too big. It was difficult to get them crossed though and I almost felt it was too small when crossed. I also didn’t like the way this diaper fit in between the legs. This was the diaper with just the small insert in.
This just shows the diaper at a different angle but still the front fit. Although I didn’t love how this diaper fit our tiny baby, it did fit around her legs great and we did not have any leaks when she wore this diaper.
Here you can see the close up of the legs gussets. This is one of my favorite things about the diaper and it really does work in containing the mess.
Here you can see the leg gussets as well as the front and back pocket openings. I also love that the snaps were an assortment of colors! They are red, blue and yellow! How fun is that?

What a great review! I love supporting companies by fellow moms and entrepreneurs. We don’t have a baby yet, but plan on using cloth diapering and trying infant potty training.
