FuzziBunz cloth diapers were invented in 1999 by a mother who had tried every cloth and disposable diapering option on the market after her son suffered from chronic diaper rash. She has since received numerous recognitions and awards and her modern day cloth diapers are found in hundreds of online and in store boutiques. FuzziBunz offers one size diapers and perfect size diapers that come in extra small through large sizes. They are all made with very sturdy snap closures and are available in a wide array of colors for that added fun to cloth diapering!

We recently had the chance to try FuzziBunz diapers and I was really excited as this was one diaper we hadn’t tried previously. Since we have a 19 month old boy and a newborn girl we went with the one size Elite pocket diaper in Watermelon to try. First, let me just say that I love this color! The red is so vibrant and it was perfect for around Valentine’s Day! Bright red and gorgeous!

Believe it or not, my husband was the first to try this diaper. I was shocked one day when I got home and started to change LA and he had this diaper on. I was mainly shocked because my husband normally will not use snap diapers. It seemed rather small and it was funny how my husband asked me if the diaper was too small on LA. I mentioned it’s a one size diaper and it needed to be adjusted to fit him. He was confused because most of our one size diapers are snaps in the front to adjust the rise. The FuzziBunz one size pocket diaper adjusts to fit babies from 7-35 pounds and uses button-adjusted waist and leg casings to change size. The waist does have a button-adjustment as well as snap adjustments.

We have only used this diaper on LA and the fit is good. We haven’t used it on Baby Addy yet because honestly, it’s not the easiest for me to adjust so I’d rather leave it on the setting that fits LA for now. I do like the look of this one size diaper better as all of the buttons aren’t on the front, however, I do prefer the ease of the buttons for one size diapers.

The waist fits him very well and the snaps make for easy adjustment. There is still plenty of room for him to grow as well since he is on the smallest snap setting.

The legs also fit well and we haven’t had any leaks using this diaper. We’ve used it during day time play time and nap time with success.

The back looks great! It seems to be a trim fitting diaper compared to some. The diaper did come with two inserts. The Elite one size diaper has minky inserts. This was also new to me. None of our other cloth diapers have minky inserts. They are incredibly soft and are supposed to have less odor than microfiber and less staining. We’ve not had a problem with either odor or staining while using this diaper. It is a bit difficult for me to get the inserts into the diaper as the center is narrow! I do not have a problem with our other pocket diapers though but this diaper seems to be more narrow in the middle than any others we have. We definitely could not add other inserts to this diaper as the hemp inserts we have for extra absorbency do not fit in the pocket opening of this diaper.

My Final Thoughts: Overall I was happy with the diaper. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t easier to adjust in size so I could use it for both children but the fit is good, the color is great and the fact that we had no leaks was a definite plus!
