Decorating a child’s room can be fun, but at the same time can be challenging. We are in the process of changing our guest bedroom into a “big boy” room for our 17 month old son in preparation for our new baby arriving in February. We have had the plan to make this change this month because we don’t want to wait until baby Addy arrives to take him out of the room he has been used to. Our first thought about this change was, “how on earth are we going to decorate this room?”
I really wanted something fun and interesting for a 17 month old to keep him interested in his new room. I would love, love, love to do a wall mural, however, I am not an artist and neither is my husband. Not only that, but my husband is paranoid about using paint in the house while I am pregnant so that was out. I actually found My Wonderful Walls, which was started by Michael Goins. Mr. Goins started this company because of situations just like this. He knew not everyone was artistic and couldn’t paint murals so he wanted to provide something for parents that would be just as fun and exciting! My Wonderful Walls has mural stencil kits that look amazing and they also carry wall stickers, which make it even easier for challenged parents like us to be able to decorate a cute room!
When I contacted My Wonderful Walls, I was pleasantly surprised that one of the owners replied to me. They are a small company and Michael along with his wife Stephanie do almost all (if not all) of the work. We decided on going with the wall stickers to decorate LA’s new room. Again, we wanted something fun for him and it came down to choosing between the pirate wall stickers and the jungle safari wall stickers. Since we know he loves animals, (maybe we visited the zoo a bit too often this summer!) we decided on the jungle theme for his new room. My Wonderful Walls has the perfect wall sticker set to go in his new room. It’s the Jungle Safari Theme Wall Sticker Kit. (Photo from their website shown below)
This kit is amazing! First, the stickers are repositionable and removable! That was my husband’s main concern because we will be selling our house in the next few years and he didn’t want to mess up the walls. I would have absolutely loved to paint the walls with the green grass and blue sky before applying these, but as you read earlier, painting is out of the question right now according to my husband. 
This is definitely something we will be doing in the future though! There are 45 large fabric wall stickers included in the set. The stickers won’t stretch or tear either – another FABULOUS feature! The stickers aren’t too small to be noticed and really do bring out a fun, animated room!

Yes, they are SO easy to apply that this pregnant woman can do it all alone!

The stickers arrived on a long sheet and were super easy to peal off! You can arrange them any way you want! Get your imagination going and have fun with it!

This is the finished look! You have to imagine that green hill that the zebra and tiger are on! I love how it turned out! I can’t wait to see it in about 6 months after painting will be ok again!

Farm Theme for sure, it seems that the Farm theme has been creeping into everything we do for this little one coming in Feb. It fits seeing as we live on a tiny urban farm.
