Elmer’s Holiday Memories #ElmersHoliday #GlueNGlitter #CBias

Oh how I love Elmer’s fun projects! My husband and I have a ball with these projects and it gives us special time together. We cannot wait to do these with the kids once they are old enough, but for now….we will truly enjoy every minute! This week we had the challenge of making a DIY project to create affordable holiday gifts. We had so much fun that we actually turned it into three separate holiday projects.
Be sure to check out our Google+ Story of our shopping trip to Walmart for our Elmer’s supplies to do these fun projects! We were able to find all of our supplies at great prices at our local Walmart store!
Here is the section that had the Elmer’s CraftBond items along with the X-ACTO items we would need!

Here are the supplies we needed to complete these projects:
I absolutely love crafting and rarely have the time to do it so I was rather excited about this project. The first project we did was decorating our wrapping paper. We have a ton of paper that has been stuffed into boxes that were shipped to us so we wanted to be green and use this paper instead of purchasing some expensive wrapping paper and creating even more trash in the landfills. The shipping paper was a boring brown and we wanted to liven it up and add our personal touch. First, to wrap our gifts, we used the Elmer’s CraftBond Double-Sided Tape.

This stuff is a miracle worker with gift-wrapping and we use less tape, meaning it will last longer! We used the Elmer’s X-ACTO templates and Elmer’s Sparkle Glue Sticks to make it into our holiday paper with a personal touch!

Using the Elmer’s Sparkle Glue to trace our lines from our templates.
Our finished product, gift number one that is.
On to the next gift…we traced more X-ACTO templates to make the designs and then went over it with the Elmer’s Sparkle Glue

Our final products – two gifts beautifully personalized and so much fun! We love these Elmer’s Sparkle Glue sticks and the Elmer’s Double-Sided tape!

The second project we did? Well, we fill stockings each year for our children. We love decorating the stockings too and we make sure each person’s name is on their stocking. Since we have a new little girl on her way we haven’t yet decorated her stocking so we took this opportunity to do so. All we needed for this small project was the stocking and the Elmer’s Sparkle Glue Sticks. We added her nickname to her stocking (her full name would be a challenge to fit!) and a pretty little picture drawn by mommy. I’m no artist, but it was fun and meaningful.
Using our new Elmer’s Sparkle Glue – LOVE this stuff for holiday crafting!
The final product! Addy’s finished decorated stocking! Merry Christmas to my baby girl! 🙂

Finally, we wanted to make something special for the grandparents from our little boy this year. We decided on making an ornament that could be a keepsake for them for years to come. We made and decorated these adorable tree ornaments for LA’s grandparents. He will be giving these as part of his gifts this year! What a fun, simple and inexpensive project! Check it out!

First, I cut out the paper tree to trace onto the felt.
After cutting out the red tree, I placed it over the green one and cut that one just a bit bigger.
I used the amazing Elmer’s CraftBond Dual-Tip Flexible Pen to add glue to the back of the red tree.
 I cut out LA’s picture to add…
Glued it to the tree where I wanted it…
Traced around the photo using the Elmer’s Sparkle Glue…
Added the year so his grandparents could always remember what year this keepsake is from! Then I added some decorative “bulbs” to the tree.
And there you have it -the final product! Craft item number three, gifts for grandparents and something that was relaxing, fun and affordable to give as a special keepsake gift!
