Cara B Naturally Review - Baby Must-Haves!

My husband and I have struggled to find just the right products to use for our little boy. Up until a few weeks ago we typically used many different brands – one lotion, one hair shampoo, one hair styling product!

I was asked to review Cara B Naturally products and once I read about these products being for ethnically diverse children AND the fact that they are made naturally? Oh, you bet I was interested! Cara B is all about promoting positive images and messages for ethnically diverse children and about celebrating natural beauty!

Cara B products are chemical free, petrolatum free, paraben free, phthalate free, sulfate free and do not contain artificial colors or fragrances. Their products are especially formulated to meet the needs of ethnically diverse babies and children and are made with only natural, plant-based ingredients. Can I just say that after reading only those things I was in love with this company? Finally, a company who is meeting the needs of my ethnically diverse children in a NATURAL way!

We were sent four of the Cara B Naturally products to review: the Shampoo/Body Wash, the Leave-In Conditioner/Daily Moisturizer, the Body Lotion and the Moisturizing Hair Mist. We have used AT LEAST one (if not more) of these products daily since receiving them. Not only are we in love with this company for finally meeting the needs of our family, we are truly in love with their products. Let’s talk about them…

First, the Shampoo/Body Wash. This product contains vitamin E and aloe to moisturize and soothe, while at the same time imparting a rich lather and calming all-natural chamomile fragrance. The scent is not overpowering, it’s the perfect amount of smell. Any time I use new products with our little guy I am cautious because he does have sensitive skin. We had no problems with Cara B Naturally! This product worked great for both shampoo and body wash. I love using one product for both when bathing a small child. It’s so convenient and when the product is natural and leaves the skin clean and soft, it’s even better!

The next product we used a lot of is the Body Lotion. With LA having eczema we have to lotion him up DAILY and when I say daily, I mean at least twice a day. His poor skin is getting so dry with this colder weather and the Cara B Body Lotion has been a great help to us! The smell is very pleasant and it is a light, creamy lotion with no greasy residue. That’s right – NO greasy residue! Bug thumbs up to Cara B for that! The lotion is a natural formula of Shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E and aloe. The scent comes from their all-natural chamomile fragrance.

I have talked recently on my blog about how out of control LA’s hair is. It has big curls and is so hard to get it to lay down and be tame! LOL It’s really out there and he looks like he just woke up from a rough night of sleep most of the time! Yes, it’s cute to me as his mama, but it’s nice to have it lay down and look like we take care of him too! We have found the perfect product to help with his hair. It’s the Cara B Moisturizing Hair Mist. Again with this product, there is no greasy residue and it greatly improves the manageability of his hair. We spray this moisturizing hair mist on and comb his hair and it lays down and he looks like a very handsome, nicely groomed little boy! This product uses jojoba oil to increase the moisture and sweet almond oil to leave behind a light, healthy shine without over doing it.

Finally, they sent the Cara B Naturally Leave-In Conditioner for review. This product is intended to be applied to your little one’s hair to condition and moisturize immediately after shampooing. This will help with the manageability. This is a light conditioner that is easily applied and with LA we only need a tiny bit for each application. This product also uses jojoba oil and Shea butter and yes, it leaves the hair feeling soft with no greasy look or feel!

As I previously stated, we have found the one product line that works GREAT for our baby boy. We absolutely love these products and how they work so well! We will be Cara B customers for a very long time! With our little girl arriving soon, we are so thrilled that we have found the perfect bath, hair care and lotion products that work for our children. Great news too!!! Cara B Naturally will be available in Target stores starting in January as well as CVS stores in February!! I am just hoping we have enough to last us until then! If not, I guess we’ll order Cara B Naturally online!

My Final Thoughts: As a mother of biracial children who is primarily focused on using natural products in our home I am thrilled that Cara B Naturally products meet our needs. I will continue using their products on both my 16 month old son and our baby girl when she arrives in February. I absolutely love the products and couldn’t be happier to be a loyal customer! I highly recommend these products to any parent of ethnically diverse children or children who have course or hard to manage curls.
