Heather, the owner of Modern Cloth was generous enough to provide Mariah, Darcy and I with a Kissaluvs Marvel AIO diaper to compare in a review. Mariah’s review will be focusing on using this diaper with a chunky little guy, Darcy with a skinny minnie and I will be reviewing it being used on an average sized baby. So, we’ve got you covered no matter what type of baby you have! Be sure to check out all of our reviews!
You all know I am in love with AIO diapers. I seriously think they are the greatest invention ever and my DH agrees completely. I am always on the lookout for a new AIO to try (especially since BG retired their AIOs) and I have wanted to check out Kissaluvs AIO for a while so I was thrilled that Modern Cloth was allowing me this opportunity.
This is a one-size all in one diaper, which I love because all of our BG AIOs are fitted and it can get rather expensive purchasing so many different sizes. You can see it is a snap closure diaper and with LA being an average sized baby (50th percentile for weight) we do not need to cross over the snaps to get a good fit around the waist. I do love that the option is there just in case our next baby is a skinny mini!
Even when he was younger, we could have used the cross over snaps because he was much skinnier months ago.
The fit around the leg is perfect. There is no room for openings which could cause leaks. It has a great fit all around on both legs.
This diaper is not one of our more trim diapers. You can definitely tell that this is a fluffy butt! It’s that super cute fluff look that so many babies are sporting these days!
You can see from this angle that there is a bit of fluffiness going on!
We did not use this diaper for overnight, however, I if I added a hemp insert I would not be scared of the outcome. I think this diaper could last through the night with just one more insert. We did use this diaper on numerous occasions during the day and at nap time and we never experienced a leak. Our average use time was 2-3 hours before changing.
Laundering this diaper is WONDERFUL! The insert is attached, however, it is an AIO that the insert will agitate out during wash so there is no un-stuffing for cleaning purposes. No touching dirty inserts, just toss in the washer and the diaper does it’s magic!
As a person who LOVES aplix closures, I do wish this diaper came in aplix, however, I didn’t find myself dreading the snap closures on this diaper. They weren’t as bad as some of the others I have used. In fact, they weren’t bad at all. I still don’t love snaps because I do feel like I am pinching LA while snapping, however I was able to easily get the snaps done even with my busy mover trying to get up as I was changing him. My DH would not use this diaper though. He sees snaps and goes right to the next diaper in the drawer. So, in our house it was not daddy friendly…it was mommy friendly though!
Now that you’ve read my review of this diaper on an average sized baby and heard my thoughts, be sure to check out Mariah’s chunky baby comparison and Darcy’s skinny mini comparison using the Kissaluvs Marvel AIO provided by Modern Cloth Diapers!!
