I have always been a big fan of Earth Mama Angel Baby and I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to review their Booby Tubes. I am a breastfeeding mama, that’s no secret. I breastfed my oldest son for 10 months and with LA we are going on 11 months. I love breastfeeding not only for the bond, but also for the health benefits. Earth Mama Angel Baby has some incredible products that can assist in those trying times. They have nipple butter, teas, and Booby Tubes. Have you heard of Booby Tubes? In a minute, you will wish you had and you’ll wonder how you got through breastfeeding without them!

What are they? Booby Tubes are a natural, gel free breast pack made of a 100% organic cotton shell and filled with all natural flax seed. The gel-free construction was designed to help reduce the risk of burns. They think of everything, don’t they? You can use them cold (by putting them in the freezer) or warm (by heating in the microwave) depending on your need. The “tubes” can be worn inside of your bra between nursing times and will help with any swelling and tenderness of engorgement. You can also use them cold to comfort your breasts during weaning. As for the heat? You can heat the “tubes” to encourage milk flow, maintain open milk ducts to prevent clogged ducts, promote let-down and comfort the symptoms of infection or mastitis. As you can see, these can easily become a breastfeeding woman’s best friend!

I wish I would have had these when LA was born. If you’ve ever breastfed then you know how painful it can be in those first months. These would have been heaven-sent. At this point in our breastfeeding journey, I am able to use them to help with the little bit of soreness I experience when LA goes through a growth spurt. My breasts get a bit sore, I believe because he’s eating nearly twice as often and my nipples aren’t used to that. I just pop these in the microwave for 30 seconds and put them in my bra for about 15 minutes after I am done nursing him. They did ease the pain and helped me get through his last growth spurt without having that feeling of wanting to give up because it hurt! In a way I wish I had the engorgement problem (I struggle to produce enough milk instead) so I could try these with the cold. I know that’s kinda crazy wishing that, so I’ll stop!

I know I cannot wait to use these when we have our next baby. They will definitely make the beginning of our next breastfeeding journey a lot more tolerable. These are a must for the new mom, or any breastfeeding mom period. If you know someone who is having a baby and planning on breastfeeding…perfect gift!
