Levana Naturals Review and GIVEAWAY!

There is so much information that I want to include in this review but I am going to try and shorten it so that you aren’t reading for 2 hours! This is REALLY worth the read though because this is some GREAT information!

I was so happy to find a place like Levana Naturals! First, the owner, Beate, is incredibly sweet and helpful in making sure to educate others on organic clothing. She taught me so much about organic clothing and actually inspired one of my Green Tip Tuesday posts. Levana Naturals is a retailer and exclusive wholesaler of various European manufacturers who produce unique, high quality organic and fairly traded accessories, baby and children’s clothing. They hand-pick every product they carry and they only carry items that are made from purely natural materials such as 100% certified organic cotton, certified organic wool and silk. Their products include things like organic baby onsies, organic rompers, organic children’s underwear, organic wool hats, organic wool baby blankets, and organic children’s clothing. Another thing I love about Levana Naturals is that they prefer working with small and family run businesses as well as organizations that help people with special needs or fair trade initiatives that further economic, social and cultural development in underdeveloped areas. Levana Naturals TRULY cares about making a difference in so many ways and that is heartwarming to see that there are people in this world like that! Items found at Levana Naturals have to not only be organic fibers, but they must also meet the strict manufacturing process standards of the Global Organic Textile Standards. Rest assured, if your child is wearing something from Levana Naturals they are safe in it! I absolutely LOVE their mission:

“We want to protect the innocence and care-free nature of our children, the environment they live in and the society they grow up in.”

We chose the Organic Baby Bunny Set in blue for our review. I love that the size goes from 6-12 months. The pants are a bit long on LA, but that is fine! It looks cute rolled up for now and that just means he will get to wear it many, many more times before he outgrows it! This set is a blue and white stripped Egyptian organic cotton set with an adorable bunny applique in the bottom corner of the shirt. The material is so soft and feels like it would be so comfy! I wish I had a set like this for myself! I love that this set is soft and comfy enough to sleep in, but also cute enough that I wouldn’t mind taking him out in public and not feel like he’s in pajamas. It works well for night AND day! We love our Levana Naturals bunny set and I cannot wait to purchase a pink one too!

I wanted to share these GREAT tips Beate shared with me:

“Full life cycle analysis of green house gas emissions of clothing show that of all activities along the life cycle (raw material acquisition, ginning, spinning, kitting or weaving, dyeing, finishing, sewing, transportation, customer use, disposal) the customer use phase usually causes the biggest impact. So here are some ideas to reduce that impact:

line dry
only wash when necessary (yes, it is possible to wear a piece of clothing more than once without washing)
only wash full loads
use the lowest temperature settings
if you use a dryer, clean the lint filter after every use
do not use bleach (it can damage the fabric over time)
make your own green detergent or use concentrated green detergent

Washing and machine drying less frequently also increases the life of your clothes since it reduces wear.”

Again, like i said earlier; Beate is a wealth of knowledge and I cannot express how much I appreciate her sharing this information. I can tell she is passionate about her business and I love working with people like her! I cannot say enough about Levana Naturals! I truly admire this company, not only for their amazing clothes, but for all of the good they exude!
