I am a garlic
addict lover. I can never seem to get enough garlic. My darling husband? Not so much. It’s difficult for me to cook and leave out my love of garlic but I want him to love what I cook too. I was extremely excited when I got the opportunity to review Garlic Gold Oil! I thought even if I had to cook something separate for just me I was going to do it for my love of garlic and because I wanted to share a new organic item with my readers! Yes, Garlic Gold Oil is ORGANIC! YAY! How exciting is that? It’s garlic AND organic! If you have never heard of Garlic Gold Oil, it is pure organic extra virgin olive oil that is infused with the flavor or pure organic garlic. YUM!
We received not only the Garlic Gold Oil, but also two samples of their Garlic Nuggets. The first item I tried was the Garlic Gold Nuggets in the Italian Herb flavor. I was making lasagna and I was hesitant to put this over the entire entree because of my husband’s feelings about garlic. He was outside doing the lawn though and I didn’t want to wait for him so I decided to put it all over the lasagna just to test it and see what he would think. He really liked dinner that night. He never said a word about it being “too garlicky”. I thought the flavor was out of this world! It was not overly garlicky and it had just the right amount of Italian herbs for great flavoring! All I did was sprinkle the Garlic Gold Nuggets over the sauce on the layer closest to the top of the lasagna. It was that simple and it made a world of taste difference in one of my favorite entrees.
Next, I had to try the Garlic Gold Oil, so I decided since my darling husband didn’t notice too much of a garlic taste that night, I was going to make another favorite dish of mine the next night and use the oil. (I know, I was getting brave! LOL) I make something I call “Teriyaki stir fry”. Even though I don’t technically stir fry the dish, it’s similar and I love it. It’s my own creation. Here’s the recipe:
You will need:
1 large chicken breast cut into small pieces
Garlic Gold Oil
First you want to brown your chicken in some Garlic Gold Oil in a pan. As you are browning the chicken you can also boil the rotini noodles. Once the chicken is browned, add in the mushrooms and onions (chopped to desired size). After letting the chicken, mushrooms and onions cook in the Garlic Gold oil for about 10 minutes you can then add some teriyaki sauce and soy sauce. I always just add it, never measure it. I just add the amount I like and I don’t like my food dry! I do only add a few drops of Soy sauce though because I don’t want the food too salty. The combination of the Garlic Gold Oil along with the Teriyaki and soy sauces gives the most amazing flavor! Once the noodles are done you can stir those in as well. I also make rice with this dish sometimes, yes, I know how strange that it – two carbs, but I like it! Again, the flavor was out of this world to me but it wasn’t too much for my husband. He commented again on how good it tasted. He still doesn’t know I used the Garlic Gold Oil! I think he really does like Garlic and he’s just not telling me!! HAHA!
