hotSACKS is a company that was formed because of a photographer’s desire to help wean people off of plastic. Diana Nethercott wanted to offer a solution to people who wanted to look good but at the same time wanted to help the Earth. She created reusable bags that are stylish and Earth-friendly! These reusable bags look SO much better than the chain store’s bags, you have to check them out! Not only do they have reusable bags, but they also have Meshy hotSACKS, which are bulk food/produce bags to use in place of the plastic bags at the grocery store. I also see that they have a new product for reducing lunch box waste! The Food Kozy is to be used in place of plastic bags, plastic wrap or foil. I know lots of people who would love to try these, including me! Just in time for Earth Day, I was sent four of the Meshy hotSACKS to review.

I was very excited to do this review! I used to go to the grocery store and hate the fact that I was using the reusable grocery bags but for produce and bulk items I was still using the plastic bags in the store. I mean, what else would you put that stuff in? I have the answer now – Meshy hotSACKS are just what I have been looking for! They are just like the produce/bulk bags in the store, only they are REUSABLE!! I love them and they solve my problem of using plastic at the grocery store. See the result of my last shopping trip?

I LOVE IT!!! No plastic! My apples, onion, garlic and bulk candy were all put into Meshy hotSACKS!!! These bags are super lightweight and very strong, so strong in fact they can hold a dozen apples! These Meshy hotSACKS come in four colors: green, orange, blue and purple and they even coordinate with the reusable hotSACKS shopping bags! How cute is that? I used these at the grocery store a few times and every time I used them I was asked about them! I really wish I had some business cards to hand out because people were really interested in them! That made me happy to know that people are interested in being GREEN! I was able to use these for all of our produce and saved at least 10 plastic bags over a period of a few weeks! YAY! These reusable Earth friendly Meshy hotSACKS are also very affordable! They are only $4.99 for a set of 8!! That’s a great deal when you think about how many plastic bags you will not have to use! The one and only thing I wish for this product is that it would come in a set of different colors. They do come in a set of 8, all the same color. I wish they would offer a set of 8, 2 of each color. Everything else, we completely love!
